Changing a Contact's Number

Note: To update a contact's number, you'll need to Archive the current contact first, then add a new contact using the updated phone number.

Phone numbers are unique identifiers in Text Request, and cannot be changed.


You can only delete an incorrect number if the number has no message history.


Several ways to set a Contact to Archived include accessing a Conversation, using Mass Actions for multiple numbers, or simply going through the Contacts menu. Below, we've outlined the most straightforward method.

To Archive a number:

1. Select Contacts in the navigation menu.

2. Select the number you want to archive from the contact list. 

3. Switch the contact to the Archived option in the open window.

4. Click SAVE EDITS.
