Keep Templates organized with custom folders.
Attention: Look in the Unassigned Templates folder for all previously made templates.
You can create as many folders as you need and organize them in whatever way works best for you and your team. Keep in mind that just like Templates, folders are dashboard-bound, meaning they will not appear on other dashboards.
To create a new folder:
1. On the Templates page, click Manage Folders.
2. Click + New Folder.
3. Enter the name of your new folder.
4. Click + Add Folder to save and add that folder to your list.
Within the Manage Folders modal, you can edit, delete, and change the order of any folders.
The Unassigned Templates Folder
- Automatically appears when at least one template does not have an assigned folder.
- Automatically disappears once all templates have been assigned to other folders.
- Does not appear on your Manage Folders list.
- Deleting a folder causes all templates within the deleted folder to move to the Unassigned Templates folder. The templates can then be moved to other folders.
Templates can be moved to other folders entirely, or within a folder if you want to change the order of your templates.
To move a template to a different folder:
When moving a template, you have two options.
1. Click and drag the template to the folder you want it in.
2. Click Edit (pencil icon) next to the template, then change the folder in the dropdown and click Save.
Template Organization in Compose
The Template feature within Compose Message is also organized by folder. Click on a folder name to choose from the templates you've placed within that folder.
The Recent folder is exclusive to Compose Message and keeps a running list of the most recently used templates for each user.
The All folder lists all templates, regardless of what folder they're in.
There are three easy ways to navigate the horizontal scroll bar if you have multiple folders.
- Click the arrow to the right to automatically scroll.
- Click a folder name and drag to see the rest of the list.
- If using a mouse scroll wheel, scroll while hovering over the folder names.
