Switching to a Holding Plan

If you need to step away temporarily, use our Holding Plan option to keep all your account data safe until you return.

Whatever your reason, switching to the Holding Plan will keep all your data including contacts, message history, and opt-out list safe while maintaining your 10DLC status.

Note: You can only access the Account page while on a holding plan. You cannot send or receive text messages until you return to a Basic plan or above. Any messages sent to your line while on a holding plan will be saved and waiting for you when you return.  

 

To move your account to a Holding Plan:

1. Select Plan on the Account screen. 

2. Click Cancel account to expand.

3. Select Move to a holding plan

4. Check the box next to the “I understand” statement. 

5. Click Confirm Plan Change.

6. (Optional) Set your estimated reactivation date. 

7. Click Confirm Plan Change.

 

Return From Holding Plan

When you're ready to return, have an administrator log into Text Request and follow the steps below. Once your account is returned to a regular plan (Basic or higher), you'll have full access to your account and can resume texting. 

Warning: Returning to a regular plan counts as upgrading and does not change your billing cycle renewal date. You will be charged for the difference between the holding plan and the new plan you are upgrading to. Your next bill will show the cost of only the new plan.

To move your account back to a regular plan:

1. Click Reactivate Account.

2. Select Edit Plan.

3. In Manage Your Plan & Add-on Features, select the plan you want to enroll in.  

4. Click Update Your Plan.

5. Click Confirm Changes.

Note: If you've selected Confirm Changes but your screen isn't showing your new plan, hard refresh the page. If the problem persists, contact our support team at 423-218-0111.
