Repeating Messages

Set up messages to repeatedly go out to contacts based on a custom schedule.

Repeating Message is an advanced feature of Schedule Message, allowing you to schedule a message in advance and have it automatically send multiple times on a schedule you create. The message sent is the same every time, making it great for reminders, upcoming event announcements, or sales campaigns.

Note: Repeating Messages follow the same time zone as the device used to create them or most recently edit them. If a user in Florida schedules a message to send at 8:00 am EST, a user in California will see that message as scheduled to send at 5:00 am PST.

To create a Repeating Message:

1. Select the Compose Message button in the top right corner.

2. Enter the contact and message you want to send.

3. Select the clock icon and set the date and time you want the first message to send.

4. Toggle Repeat to enabled.

5. Every allows you to set the frequency of the message. Whether it be by day, week, month, or even year.

6. End allows you to set when the Repeating Message should stop sending. This can be on a specific date or after a certain number of times it's been sent. You can also set it to Never and then manually cancel the message later.

7. Click Set Schedule.

8. Click Schedule to schedule the Repeating Message.

Repeating Group Messages

Repeating Group Messages are nearly identical to individual Repeating Messages, but they send to a group of people. Repeating Group Messages utilize dynamic groups, which means that just before sending a message in the repeating schedule, the system checks for any changes in the group membership and adjusts accordingly.

For example, if you had John C in Group A, but three weeks later, you remove John C from Group A, the system will note his change in membership just before sending the message, and he will no longer receive the Repeating Group Message.

To create a Group Repeating Message:

1. Create a new group message.

2. Enter the contacts you want to send the message to.

3. Select the clock icon on the message screen.

4. Select the date and time for when you want the group message to be sent.

5. Toggle Repeat to enabled.

6. Set up your schedule and click Set Schedule

7. Finish the Group Message process and click Schedule.
