Receptionist

Receptionist offers several options for what callers experience when trying to call your text-only dashboard.

Note: Receptionist and its features are only available for text-only dashboards. If you added Text Request to your voice-enabled business phone number, Receptionist will not provide any benefit to that dashboard and is thus unavailable.

Standard Greeting

Callers receive a generic message with no further instructions. Standard Greeting is included on all plans.

The Standard Greeting is a pre-recorded message that simply states:

This number only accepts text messages. Goodbye.

Receptionist will default to the Standard Greeting unless you had Voice Greeting enabled on the dashboard before the update to Receptionist. If Standard Greeting is selected and active, you don't need to do anything else.

Automated Greeting

Callers receive a personalized message with your company's information and a phone number they can call. Automated Greeting is included on all plans.

The Automated Greeting is a pre-written message that uses your organization's name and voice-enabled phone number. The message is as follows:

Thank you for calling [Organization name]. This is a text-only line. To speak to someone by phone, please call us at [Provided phone number]. Once again, the number is [Provided phone number].

To set up Automated Greeting:

1. Toggle Automated Greeting to on.

2. Enter the voice-enabled phone number where callers can reach you.

3. Enter the name of your business/organization.

4. Click Save

Call Forwarding

Callers are seamlessly forwarded to your voice-enabled phone number.

Call Forwarding can be added to any plan for $25/month for up to 25 dashboards. Accounts needing Call Forwarding on more than 25 dashboards can contact us directly for pricing plans.

To set up Call Forwarding:

1. Select Call Forwarding.

2. Click Add Now.

3. Check the box next to the payment agreement message.

4. Click Add Call Forwarding

Add Call Forwarding Modal-1

5. Enter the voice-enabled phone number callers will be forwarded to.

6. Click Save

Note: Steps 2-4 are only required the first time you enable Call Forwarding. If you've already added Call Forwarding to your plan beforehand, you can go from step 1 to step 5.

To disable Call Forwarding:

1. Toggle Call Forwarding to off or Automated Greeting to on.

2. Click Disable in the window that pops up.

3a. If you toggled Call Forwarding to off, Standard Greeting becomes active.

3b. If you toggled Automated Greeting to on, click Save in the edit modal to make Automated Greeting active.

Disabling Call Forwarding only turns the feature off for that dashboard and no longer forwards callers to your voice-enabled phone number. Call Forwarding is still a part of your plan, and you will still be charged for it

If you want to remove Call Forwarding from your account entirely, an administrator must go to Edit Plan under Account and remove it like any other add-on. See our guide on Plans and Add-ons if you need help.
